FDA okays sumatriptan intranasal migraine medication

FDA has approved sumatriptan (Onzetra Xsail—Avanir Pharmaceuticals) for the treatment of migraines. The drug is delivered in powder form using the novel Xsail breath-powered delivery device. “The system allows the medication to be deposited deep into the nose, an area rich with blood vessels,” said Roger K.
