(Photo/Liz Segrist)The newest assault vehicles being produced by Science Applications International Corp. in Hanahan were designed with one main goal in mind — to increase the survivability of the Marines inside of them. SAIC is upgrading the decades-old vehicles to protect against improvised explosive devices and other blasts.
