The Medicine Shoppe has unveiled a program that targets poor medication adherence, which Prescriptions for a Healthy American says is responsible for at least 125,000 U.S. deaths annually. The initiative helps patients with multiple prescriptions arrange for all of their medications to be available for pickup at the same time and issues a 1-day reminder beforehand. In addition, patients who enroll can check in a week early to ensure there have been no changes in their medication.
