Baxter issues voluntary nationwide recall of one lot of 0.9% sodium chloride solution

Baxter International has launched a voluntary recall for one lot of 0.9% sodium chloride irrigation, USP, 500 mL Plastic Pour Bottle solution. The recall was launched following a customer complain about the presence of particulate matter, which was identified as an insect. Baxter has received no reports of related adverse events thus far. The lot being recalled, G120162, was distributed in the United States between November 12, 2015 and January 11, 2016, and it has an expiration date of November 30, 2018.
