Although some states require buyers of electronic cigarettes to be a certain age, this popular alternative to tobacco products is virtually unregulated at the federal level. FDA has been trying for at least 5 years to crack down on the booming industry, with no success; but a victory now appears to be on the horizon. A host of complications await, however, should the Office of Management and Budget approve FDA’s request for oversight.
