Baxter International has launched a voluntary recall of four lots of I.V. solutions. The recall follows a number of customers complaints regarding leaking containers or particulate matter. In each instance, the issue was identified prior to patient administration. No adverse events are associated with the reported incidents thus far. The recall involves 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection, USP, 100mL in Mini-Bag Plus Container; Metronidazole Injection, USP 500mg/100mL; and Clinimix E 5/15 (5% AA w/Electrolytes in 15% Dextrose w/Calcium).
