FDA has approved a longer-acting version of amphetamine (Adzenys XR-ODT—Neos Therapeutics) for the treatment of ADHD. The orally disintegrating tablet was approved to treat ADHD in patients aged 6 years and older. The drug, which FDA had rejected 3 years ago, should begin shipping the drug later this year.
