A federal jury in New Hampshire has ordered Walmart to pay $31.22 million to a pharmacist who said she was let go because of her gender and because she had complained about safety conditions. In her case, Maureen McPadden—who had worked at Walmart for more than 13 years—claimed she was fired after expressing concern that customers were receiving improperly filled prescriptions due to insufficient staff training.
