In an effort to combat the opioid epidemic in Ohio, the Kroger Co. is making naloxone available without a prescription at more than 200 of its pharmacies across the state. Kroger’s Cincinnati-Dayton division announced Friday it will dispense the opioid-overdose reversal medicine without a prescription at its 84 pharmacies starting Monday, and Kroger’s Columbus division will begin providing the medicine at its 112 pharmacies next Wednesday, among other divisions.
